Second Storey Theatre (SST) officially opened its doors in 2009 and has since become the best improv comedy company in the Tri-Cities. The idea for SST was developed by table23, a comedy troupe formed in 1999 by Graham Myers, Russ Brummer, Jonathan Chambers, Jeff Penner, and Brad Rossington. The troupe came upon a charming black box theatre venue in the heart of Port Coquitlam which, after some literal blood, sweat and tears, became the first home of SST.
Since then, Second Storey Theatre has outrown its original venue and is now a community of performers from all walks of life brought together by a love of comedy and led by Graham Myers.
Graham Myers, voted into Port Coquitlam’s 100 Most Influential Members of the Arts Community in 2013, is now the sole owner and Artistic Director. Together with his band of merry improvisers, he continues to challenge the limits of improv and to bring unique shows to the stage and to engage the Tri-City community in the importance of laughter.
